Why do people smoke

The cigarette is the most common method of smo...Image via Wikipediashould laws restrict where people can smoke? Why do people smoke?
Laws certainly should dictate where people ca smoke.in fact, I support laws that allows smoking only in one's own home or private office. For one thing, Scientific research clearly proves that smoking not only harms the health of smokers, It also harms the health of nonsmokers around them.Wives and children's of smokers, For example, Have been found to have more instances of lung cancer, Ear and throat infections, And asthma then wives and children's of nonsmokers. For another thing, Nonsmokers must in short pay for the consequences of smoking, Such as fires and increased costs of ventilation. Perhaps, We cannot depend on smokers to be considerate and respectful of health and pocketbooks of those around them. In my opinion, For the good of all Society, We need laws to tell smokers when and where to smoke.
It is good for the nonsmokers because if a person is smoking before a nonsmokers it is also very dangerous for the nonsmokers because he is inhaling all the smoke, But if we bound the smokers to smoke only in a smoking room then it will be good for the nonsmokers. It is also good for the smokers because they can fulfill their habit without any hesitation.

saegull stealing in scotland

The seagull waits until the shopkeeper isn't looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos.

Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds.

The seagull's shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the store in Aberdeen, Scotland, and helped himself to a bag of chips. Since then, he's become a regular. He always takes the same type of chips.

Customers have begun paying for the seagull's stolen bags of chips because they think it's so funny

Till life do us paat:our childhood:our childrens:nice memories of our childhood:when we are childrens

We loved to hate each other in fact, fighting gave us the greatest Pleasure, And seeing the other in pain and misery was our ultimate Aim. Then one day it all stopped. We forgot what it was that make us enemies. We had now turned into the best of Buddies, Soul-mates and Saviors.
This is not about me and my better half. It is about me and my other half my brother. It is bout the relationship and love that only two siblings can experience because they are genetically Speaking, Closer to each other then to anyone else on earth. A sibling is someone you have the license to fight, compete against and even hate. The love you feel comes out through the clash you have, never needing words to be expressed.
At one point in life probably when I was 12 or 13.i honestly did believe that I hate my brother. I clearly remember sitting, fuming after one of our terrible fights and thinking how I hated him and the thought startled me for a moment because I realized he was the only sibling that I had to do make with and if I hated him so much, who would I have left to love? Then I quickly consoled myself that I could not help feeling the way I felt because brother was just too terrible.
We fought over anything and everything, And in every way. Even though he was older And, off course stronger, it never stop me from getting into physical fights with him. And how he would beat me up and how I would howl my heart out, in the hope that my parent would beat him up in return. I really don’t remember him getting beaten up for beating me. But he would get a scolding. And I would not stop crying until felt satisfied that he had been scolded enough; shedding many more crocodile tears until he was thoroughly told off or I was told to shut up.
I was very jealous of him. I really don’t know why. May be because he was the only person I had around me to be jealous of. But it was probably because he was a boy and older. So I was always look out for any real and imaginary potential treatment that he received. My father was always neutral and whenever he did take sides it was mine so that perfectly fine with me. As for mother, she did and still dotes for her son. There I had issues, and still do. but on growing older I did not find way around this whenever, I would ask her to brother and he always got a YES out of her. Even today I make him do this.
Looking back I can see that rivalry between us made our bond stronger and made me do what I would not have strived to do had I not been jealous of him. I got to play all boys sports because if he could play them then I too had to be allowed. so I was climbing trees, flying kites, kicking footballs, playing marbles and just hanging around him when he went our with his buddies-his little sister refused to stay behind. But all this had disadvantages too for he mercilessly used met to doll the fielding and bowling while he only batted. he even force me to play chess with him when I was just 10-he,offcourse,had to tell me what moves would make and to win the game-with the promise of playing with my dolls later Which he never did.
When I complained to my parents that he was not playing with me, they would tell me that boys did not play with dolls. How unfair it seemed and I would never to be misused as a playmate by him again, but the tomboys in me always become a fall guy. in retrospect I have to give it to him fro letting me do whatever I he did. If he did not then I would not have had the condensed that I have to day.
Most of our childhood and adolescence was spent forbidding the other from using or even touching our things. Our precious story books and comics, cassettes and toys were possessively guarded and once we even drew a line dividing the room we had to share for a while. Each was banned from stepping into the others territory and such an offence would be met with a volley of the most colorful of curses.
We basically grew up fighting and competing, getting each other into trouble but always supporting when the others was in trouble for something else. Our parents sometimes did tell us to live like civilized people and explained that siblings were supposed to love one another but it really did not work and we would be left to work things out for ourselves most of the time.
Things did work out and we stop fighting one day - the day we have to live apart when i, at 16, went to a college hostel for two years. Did we miss each other? Oh yes, even the mean and nasty bits! And we have never fought since then, not even once. Then brother went abroad when I was 20.he is still there and rivalry of our childhood is just a cherished, distant memory.

BEAUTIFULL PEARLS,NICE THOUGHTS

BEAUTIFULL PEARLS and beautifull thoughts:
The main reason people get angry is because they are filled with themselves, their egos get in the way.

2. One can control anger by recognizing that nothing takes place without God's leave; there is no power or might except God.

3. If your actions hold you back, your lineage will not speed you up.

4. To speak about death is to speak about the urgency to live a faithful and wholesome life before death over takes.

5. The often remembrance of death gives one energy to achieve good deeds, and engenders seeking repentance right away when one slips or errs.

6. Laughter and amusement at the expense of the dignity of others is wholly inappropriate.

7. Never mock any creature of God, for it might be beloved to He who created it.

8. Those who mock people in this life shall be mocked in the Hereafter, for it is a Divine law that God recompenses people with the like of what they have done.

9. It is easy to say something that brings ruins upon its speaker. Learning how to control the tongue is an enormous discipline.

10. Time is a gift that God has given us, and what we do with it is the most important challenge. Once we realize we are accountable for our time, then every minute becomes vital

A state dinner,dinner in Iran

A little boy wanted Rs.500 very badly and prayed for weeks, But nothing happened.
Finally he decided to write a letter to GOD requesting the Rs.500
When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to 'God, Pakistan',

they decided to forward it to the Finance Minister of Pakistan as a joke.
The Finance Minister was so amused, that he instructed his secretary to
send the little boy Rs.200. The Finance Minister thought this would appear to
be a lot of money to a little boy, and he did not want to spoil the kid.
The little boy was delighted with Rs.200, and decided to write a thanking
reply note to God, which reads:

'Dear God: Thank you very much for sending the money. However,
I noticed that you sent it through the Finance Ministry in Islamabad,
and those donkeys deducted Rs.300 as tax's!

US and India tie up for a strog military pact

The controversial Logistics Support Agreement (LSA) and expansion of US military sales to India are expected to figure prominently during the two-day visit of Defence Secretary Robert Gates from Tuesday.During the security dialogue, the two sides will review their strategic cooperation in various fields and explore ways to enhance the ties, the sources said.Gates will hold talks with Defence Minister A K Antony on bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest considering growing threat from terrorism emanating from India's neighbourhood. To be accompanied by a 50-member military-cum-business delegation, Gates is also likely to call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and meet External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and National Security Adviser M K Narayanan. The two sides are expected to discuss the progress on signing of LSA, under which the two countries will provide their bases, fuel and other kinds of logistic support to each other's fighters and warships. The agreement has been under negotiation for over a year, with India insisting that it be renamed. The pact is pending before the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) for clearance. The Left parties have opposed this agreement, arguing that it will make India a party to America's ''wrong'' designs. The US has, however, sought to allay fears, insisting that it would ''not bind'' India but benefit its military by improving its ''operational ability''.US Ambassador David Mulford recently said Indian military will need such type of cooperation and change as its capabilities grow.During Gates' visit, the two sides are also expected to discuss the Container Security Initiative , which India is ready to sign. The two countries will review broad cooperation in defence field and discuss ways to enhance it.Mulford said the defence relations between the two countries had witnessed ''enormous growth'' over the last few years, marked by exchange of visits and joint exercises. The US is looking forward to having cooperation on joint production of C-130J transport planes besides eyeing the contract for 126 multi-role fighter planes.

New World record forsolar conversion efficiency, solar energy.sun energy, energy gain from sun, source of energy, solar energy

Sandia National Laboratories and Stirling Energy Systems (SES) have set a new solar-to-grid system conversion efficiency record by achieving a 31.25 percent net efficiency rate. The old 1984 record of 29.4 percent was toppled using SES's "Serial #3" solar dish Stirling system at Sandia's National Solar Thermal Test Facility.
Serial #3 is part of a prototype six-dish model power plant at the Solar Thermal Test Facility that produces up to 150 kilowatts (kW) of grid-ready electrical power during the day. Each dish unit consists of 82 mirrors formed in a dish shape to focus the light to an intense beam.

The solar dish generates electricity by focusing the sun's rays onto a receiver, which transmits the heat energy to a Stirling engine. The engine is a sealed system filled with hydrogen. As the gas heats and cools, its pressure rises and falls. The change in pressure drives the pistons inside the engine, producing mechanical power, which in turn drives a generator and makes electricity.
The conversion efficiency is calculated by measuring the net energy delivered to the grid and dividing it by the solar energy hitting the dish mirrors. Auxiliary loads, such as water pumps, computers and tracking motors, are accounted for in the net power measurement.
"Gaining two whole points of conversion efficiency in this type of system is phenomenal," says Bruce Osborn, SES president and CEO. "This is a significant advancement that takes our dish engine systems well beyond the capacities of any other solar dish collectors and one step closer to commercialising an affordable system."
Lead Sandia project engineer Chuck Andraka says that several technical advancements to the systems led to the record-breaking solar-to-grid conversion efficiency. The first and probably most important advancement was improved optics. The Stirling dishes are made with a low iron glass with a silver backing that make them highly reflective -focusing as much as 94 percent of the incident sunlight to the engine package, where prior efforts reflected about 91 percent.
Other advancements to the solar dish-engine system that helped Sandia and SES beat the energy conversion record were a new, more effective radiator that also costs less to build and a new high-efficiency generator.
While all the enhancements led to a better system, the weather also played a pivotal role. "It was a 'perfect storm' of sorts," Andraka says. "We set the record on Jan. 31, a very cold and extremely bright day, a day eight percent brighter than normal." The temperature, which hovered around freezing, allowed the cold portion of the engine to operate at about 23 degrees C, and the brightness means more energy was produced while most parasitic loads and losses are constant. The test ran for two and a half hours, and a 60-minute running average was used to evaluate the power and efficiency data, in order to eliminate transient effects. During the testing phase, the system produced 26.75 kW net electrical power.
Osborn says that:
SES is working to commercialise the record-performing system and has signed power purchase agreements with two major Southern California utilities (Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric) for up to 1,750 megawatts (MW) of power, representing the world's two largest solar power contracts. Collectively, these contracts require up to 70,000 solar dish engine units.
